Altitude and velocity is a feature that will tell the altitude and velocity of your rocket; in other words, a rocket's telemetry (or stats).

Altitude[]

Altitude is how high the rocket is from the ground. The units are meters (m) and kilometers (km). After 10,000 meters the units will switch to kilometers. Below 2 kilometers the altitude indicator will switch to how high your rocket is from the terrain level.

Velocity[]

Velocity is how fast your rocket is. The unit used is meters per second (m/s). The higher the number, the faster the rocket is. Slow velocities mean the rocket is after liftoff. High velocities indicate it has an orbital velocity. landing velocity measures how hard your landing gonna be, 10+ velocity means hard landing is on you way!

10- velocity means your spaceship/rocket don't crash when landing(soft landing) depend on how many mass your rocket/spaceship have. 5 is the maximum velocity for most parts before it breaks.

when in a moon landing, the velocity must have 100- velocity when you hit 100KM, when 10KM or 5KM, the velocity must have been in 50- velocity, hitting 500m means you need to have 10- velocity

Angle[]

This feature is only enabled during the launch to space. Angle is a feature that tracks the angle of your rocket respective to the Y axis. It will appear after launch. It has 2 parts: the real angle of the rocket and the angle required. It will show as:

The rocket's Y axis angle must match of the required angle. the rocket needs a curved to get the least amount of delta v possible. If the rocket never tilted, the rocket will have almost not enough fuel to get to orbit. However, if the rocket tilted to one side, it will have enough fuel to get to orbit.

Placement[]

The rocket telemetry statistics is placed on the top right‐hand side of the screen and the angle indicator is placed on the top left. In the PC version the altitude is shown on the left of the throttle section, the velocity is shown on the right and the angle is shown as a space shuttle icon with the ideal angle, just like Space Agency's angle indicator.

Trivia[]

  • Moving at high velocities can result the game crashing, freezing or lagging.
  • The angle indicator is introduced in the 1.5 update. Before that, many players will choose how high they will go before turning.
  • There is a bug that when you switch to landscape mode some tutorials will appear covering the map/physics button, the pause button and the angle indicator. In 1.5.2, it was fixed.
  • If you are below 0 meters, It will display as negative numbers.
