Fairing Shells are created when a fairing separates. They are not controllable, and even stay for the very long time in orbit if you don't clear debris.

Creation[]

When you tap a fairing or just use Staging to separate it, the fairing breaks, and becomes two separate, uncontrollable pieces.

Effects[]

The effects of that are:

  • They collide with spacecraft while you launch a rocket,
  • Collide each other when there's a lot of debris or another shell,
  • Destruct the rocket occasionally when you separate them.

When time warp is activated, those effects do not happen.

Trivia[]

  • A lot of fairing shells remain in Earth's orbit in real life right now, but they don't stay that long in orbit and reentering the atmosphere.
  • If you attach a part to the bottom part of the fairing(touching the fairing), and attaching a probe can make the fairing shell controllable
