This part or feature is only available in career mode
To get career mode, create a new world, and name it "Test Career".

The sound produced by the Peregrine engine

The Peregrine Engine is a low-efficiency; high-thrust engine which is the first liquid fuel engine that the player unlocks in Career Mode. It was added in 1.5.5 update. It seems to be a merge of Hawk and Kolibri Engine.
As Stef once wrote on his Discord, "it is just a quickly thrown together engine for the prototype."[1] The engine burns 5 tons of liquid fuel in 12 seconds.

This engine is best used in the second stage of larger rockets, or the first stage of smaller rockets. It is also pretty decent in boosters.

Trivia[]

  • In 1.5.5 it was possible to get it outside of career mode by saving the project in Career and opening it in classic mode or Blueprint-Editing, but in the next update (1.5.5.1), the developer removed this option.
  • It is the least efficient liquid fuel engine in the game.
  • As of version 1.5.10 this part is inaccessible due to career mode becoming inaccessible but it is still functional.
