Mercury-Redstone is a suborbital rocket which was used from 1960 to 1961. It is known to launch America's first man to space. In Spaceflight Simulator, as of now, the rocket is in the Redstone-Atlas expansion pack.

Trivia

• The Mercury capsule was also launched on the Atlas booster
• The rocket had 6 launches, 5 of which were a success.
  • The first mission failed since the rocket thought that it was at a higher altitude during the launch. Because of this, the LES jettisoned itself, the engine shut down, and the capsule separated.
