The Rocketdyne A-7 Engine is an engine used in the Mercury-Redstone rocket. It is used to propel the rocket to a suborbital trajectory around the Earth.

The engine has a similar flame to the Kolibri engine but longer and similar sound to the Hawk engine. It also has a built-in engine base, so only the bottom of the engine is visible.

Trivia

• The A7 engine used ethyl alcohol as its fuel and liquid oxygen as the oxidizer, which was very common among early rockets.
• The A7 engine was likely derived from the A4 engine that powered the V2 missile from Germany.
