Note: The following are strategies to reach moon orbit. Please feel free to add your own tips and Q&A here.
Reaching low moon orbit[]
A low moon orbit is an orbit with a perilune above the surface of the moon, but the ideal height is 10 km. Here is a short tutorial on how to do it.
- Turn on the engines at 65% and turn slowly.
- Turn off the engines when the apolune reaches 10 km.
- Time warp until the rocket reaches the apolune, then burn prograde until the perilune reaches 10 km.
When the perilune is above 100 meters, the achievement Reached low %planet{0}% orbit will be given.
Reaching high moon orbit[]
A high moon orbit has a perilune above 130 km. Here is a short tutorial on how to do it.
- Turn on the engines at around 65% and slowly tilt to about 20°.
- Tilt the rocket to 45° at 6,000 meters
- Tilt the rocket to 60° when the apolune reaches 30 km.
- Turn off the engines when the apolune reaches 60 km.
- Time warp until you reach the apolune, then burn prograde until the perilune is above 130 km.
When the perilune is above 130 km, the achievement Reached high %planet{0}% orbit will be given.
